Okay, what's "The Pony of the Month"?

It's an idea I had when I looked at my ponies. My collection stands behind some veils so that the ponies will not bleach out. And That's why I cannot see them all. I just have not enough room to display them all, so I decided: "When I cannot display all of them, then I will chose one pony for one month and display her/him."
That's the idea behind the "Pony of the Month". Every pony will get some decoration that fits her/him. And I will give a little story or information about it in the comments.
Hope you will enjoy the little idea. ^^



What else...
...I'm still working on some customs. I hope to finish at least one in the next time. And there are some drawing commissions, that want to be finished.^^

Just wanted to say, that I’m still alive.
There’s so much around here, that I don’t find time to check in on Dev as much as I want to.

So, what’s new…

… Jasper is quite grown by now. He’s five months old and a really lively dog. He loves to play in the garden and he also destroys our flowers. He’s shed his milk teeth by now. All in all we have a lot of fun with him, with some minor accidents where we sometimes want to “kill” him. No, he really is a sweet little tike and no one of us would ever give him away again.

Another thing of importance (for me) is some project I started with a friend. It’s our own ponyversum called “Garthr”.
Actually, it was me, who started this. I read the book “On a pale horse” by Piers Anthony and somehow the idea for a pony sprang up from it. I liked the character of Death in the book and suddenly I had a Death pony in mind. He does not really have much to do with the book but he was inspired by it. (go read the book, it’s very good!!!^^) So Thanatos (that’s how I named him) was the first.
I never had the idea to create a whole universe. I only wanted some characters for drawing, that were not Hasbro. So I dreamed up some more ponies with special abilities and when I visited a friend of mine, I asked her, if she had any interest in creating some new ponies with me. She was very enthusiastic and it was her idea to do a whole universe. That’s the beginning of Garthr.
By now we have around 30 characters and a lot of ideas for some scenes. Unfortunately, we don’t have the time to work on it very much. I did some very rough scetches of some ponies (maybe I’ll upload them^^) and we added some of my customs and drawn characters to Garthr.
That’s why you will find a new folder in my gallery, where I put some of my older customs, too. They are now part of a greater project. ^^
I hope, we will find some time to work on this again and then I’ll tell you more about it.

Today we got our little Jasper!

Actually, we went to the breeder for only a visit like every week. When we arrived there were only six pups. One of Jasper's sister was already gone.
And when we asked if we could get Jasper wednesday next week, the breeder told us, that if we want we could take him home with us today. So, try to imagine what we did!!!!

My father was so happy that he wanted to show my cousin and his family our little "easter bunny". ^^ So we drove there and introduced Jasper to his new friend Rubin, the dog of my cousin. Both of them were very friendly to each other. My cousin took some photos of this event. I hope I'll get them soon, so that I can show them to you.

When we arrived at home, we brought Jasper out into the garden so that he could pee. But he was that exausted, that he nearly fell to sleep on the grass.^^ And then our neighbours saw us and had to take a closer look at our new family member. Poor little guy, such a lot of people around you!!

I took him inside and put him into his new basket. At first he sat there and listened to every sound, but after a few minutes he curled up and went to sleep. He only woke when we put on the light again and laid the cloth into his basket.

It is said that pups are always crying in the first night at their new home. They miss their mother and the old home. But I don't think that Jasper will cry. He seems to be just too tired to even think about crying. ^^

So here we go again.^^

First and most important thing: Jasper!
He is by now 6 weeks old and has grown a lot. He has more black in his white fur, than three weeks ago. I uploaded some new pics of him. Actually I wanted to upload the pics the very day we visited him, but I couldn't find the time.

Second, I want to thank for the wonderful watermark she did for me!!! It is really brilliant, sweetie! Thanks a lot!!

And finally, I have some news on my to-do-list. Actually I wanted to finish everything on this list before I start a new thing, but it didn't work. Some things had to wait, because they were not very important and some things because I didn't had the meaning to work on them. And some things were totally changed and I started them again. But do not think that I did nothing all the time. I started something new with a friend of mine. ^^ You will see some scetches and drawings soon. Actualy there are some customs in my gallery, which belong to this project, but I will tell more later. So here is the actual list:

Drawings:
- Kiriban for → didn't work like I wanted. Started a totally new thing, which is now by the linearts. Sorry for the long delay!
- Lazen (own chara) → scetch done, needs redrawing and colouring (at rest at the moment^^)
- Chersan (my persona) → finally started colouring
- Razer (for Moondancer) → finished, started adding the background
- Thanatos (own chara) → scetch done and roughly coloured, working on this one
- Happy Family → kind of finished but still needs a background (at rest at the moment)



Customs:
- Swap pony → FINISHED, photos will be uploaded in the next few days
- Merry Treats Variation → POSTED
- Mommy Yo-Yo → finished, photos will be uploaded in the next few days
- Baby Snuzzledrop → POSTED
- Eeyore Custom → must be redone (after the burning the mane came off; rests at the moment )
- G2 rearing custom → legs already rearranged, head needs to be sculptured on (rests at the moment)
- Sadness → rehaired, need to find a way to fix the head onto the body again
- Gilderoy Lockhart Custom → body painted, needs rehairing and symbols (rests at the moment)
- Danish Custom → painted and rehaired, needs second body layer (rests at the moment)
- Copper Christmas pony → not started
- Sitting Fishing pony → still searching for a bait
- NEW: Custom Pony for contest on [link] → finished, will be posted when contest is over

I still can’t believe it!! But it is real!!!
We will have a new family member in some weeks!!!!

We had a black Cocker for 13 years but he died nearly three years ago. Since then I wished for another dog, but my father didn’t want one. Some time now, my mother is everything about a dog and even the doctors tell my father that a dog would be good for him. (My mother and I love those docs! )
Today we visited a breeder who told us she has four-week-old puppies. And that was it for my father. The minute he had the pup in his arms and when the little one licked his face, my father lost. ^^ He was still not sure, but we (mother, I and the breeder) talked him into it (kind of). I think, deep in his heart he wanted a dog badly, but he is afraid, that he cannot handle him. But, hey! We will all help!!
I’m already in love with our new friend!! His actual name is Quando but we want to call him Jasper ( I offered that name because I like it very much! Try figuring why. ). The breeder liked the name, too, and said she will call him Jasper from now on. ^^ He was born on Feb. 3rd . He’s a little blue roan Cocker Spaniel. He has one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen! We will visit him every week, till we can take him home with us. Can’t wait for that day!!!
